Whilst the sashes are removed for
draught-proofing, they are also prepared for decorating to the external
faces.
This usually involves stripping back to the bare
wood.
They are then reassembled as the
draught-proofing system. A full primer is applied, followed by undercoat and
a gloss paint finish to all external faces of the sashes, box frames and
sills.
